We designed ZAKAA’s tote bag as a product that could be beneficial in our daily lives. The concept of our work combines the profession of architecture, a love for the city of Sulaymaniyah, and environmental sustainability. For this purpose, we decided to create a tote bag, featuring architectural sketches of some of the city’s old buildings and historical sites as a nod to the architectural story of our city. At the same time, it can serve as an eco-friendly alternative to harmful plastic bags and a cultural souvenir. These designs are more than decorative; they are a visual archive, reconnecting people to Sulaymaniyah’s urban legacy while sparking conversations about preserving its identity in a rapidly modernizing world.
